Anyone know what thread size the....

Post by kilika2 »

Pilots and jets are? I tried looking it up on dyno jet and factory pro. The local dealership is going out of business and they have an assortment for real cheap. I didn't know if it actually mattered what went back in as long as the orifice is correct.

Any idea what make of carb they are for? You might be able to sell them on eBay and then get the correct ones for your bike.

Chris,
usually 4mm OR 5mm (I cannot remember which) as I use a plate for holding my spare sets for tuning for races etc.
I'll go check a bit later....................

Darrin, I kind of figured the same thing. Find some that work for me and sell the rest. If nothing else I KNOW they fit Suzuki (now if only I could find someone that needs suz jets.... hmmmm) even if I can't use any they should sell to make my money back.

Geo. I figured about there too. Thanks, if you get that on here cool. If not it's cool too.

Yeah they have a mukini box and I'm thinking about just grabbing a few. I know this is a bad question(I tried searching jets but it brought up too many results for my little browser) but I can go up a little in the jet sizing without changing my needles correct. I know in the dj and fp kits you get them.

Chris,
when you say you just want to jet change I presume you are talking Main jet & start jet.? yes you can BUT does the engine actually require it or is this by way of experimental?

If experimental then might i suggest buy in 1st & 2nd sizes over what you have PLUS 1st smaller than you have

Purely experimental. And yep I shall do your suggestion. 2 over and 1 under. Thanks George.

One of the issues is that a bike can go "richer" over time simply by wearing out the "emulsion tubes". The tubes get larger and hence allow more fuel to pass through.

How many miles are on your bike? Are you sure you don't already have a jet kit on there?

Just rolled over 12k. The jets are stock 107.5 and 52. It was more about trying to make my own factory pro kit on the cheap. Just for a challenge.

The FP kit is really the needles. Having adjustable needles allows you to transition smoothly between part-throttle and WOT. That is why some people have a "blip" at 7k and others do not. In some cases, it will even prevent you from going to WOT.
