Engine work

Have to ask.

Past summer i had an engine failure. Got p-off and ripped the powerplant apart to replace the crank and rods as i had thrown a conrod bearing. All in two days time-basicaly to get on the road asap again.

As i hot tanked everything in sight of course general wear n tear showed,but i put the plant back together no less.

Starting to see the end of winter around here i´m giving thought to ripping the powerplant out of the bike again to replace the odd component or so.
Namely piston pins and conrod bolts more than anything else. Also giving thought to a rering and i suppose a fresh timing chain would be a good idea as well.
Cylinder head i´ll leave as is as it got a thorough workthrough last time out and works as intended.

So...guys...where do i pick pins,bolts and rings up without breaking the bank and without being stuch with sub par parts?
Local Yamaha dealer seem to think it´s all made of unobtainium seing how they price the pts in case.

i bought new pins and c-clips from my yamaha dealer and i thought i got treated alright, the rings are another story, i got lucky on ebay.

None the less,there´s no separate vendor apart from my local yamaha dealer?
Nothing aftermarket as far as this goes at all?
Kind of odd isn´t it seing what yamaha charges.

I don't know if this supplier of OEM parts (located in Holland/Netherlands, if memory serves) would be cheaper than the stealership.

Nah,that seems more reasonable right off the bat. Point is that as i had the powerplant apart summer passed the pins showed evidence of wear. Conrod bolts in my book are routine replacement parts,it´s just that i didn´t have any around at the time.
(Reason i ripped it apart in the first place was that i shot a conrod bearing. Have a spare engine around so i swapped the crank as well as rods,and atop of that the shifter drum that had the typical "Yamaha sickness".Ie;it would throw second gear at will and the shifter drum from my spare engine looked like new..)

Then the Q arises if i should opt to throw a little more money at it? Thinking along the lines of various ballbearings for the box asf,but i guess as there´s ample time still i should pick the engine apart firt and order what´s needed as i´ve checked it all out.
