Electrical problem

Post by rehed »

Is there a main fuse on the FZR600? I was trying to rewire the horn and must have shorted something out as I have no power going to anywhere with the key switched to on. The battery is fully charged. Everything worked fine 'til I screwed with the horn wiring (except for the horn of course). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You've more than likely blown the Red 10 amp signal fuse, which powers the horn, tach, temp gauge, turn signals, brake light, neutral & oil lamps. It's located in the fusebox (under the riders seat right hand side). Fuses front (of bike) to rear 10a Fan, 10a Ignition, 10a Signal, 20a Headlight.

The main fuse Green 30 amp is located behind the left rear side panel.

Good Luck.

I forgot to mention that the fuses in the box were good. I'll check the 30 amp this evening. Thanks.
