Headlight problems

Headlights don't come on....no matter what i have tried, carefully checked, all fuses (also for continuity), all wires, all connections

symptoms, bike starts and runs, engine stop and start switch clearly working, left side: dimmer switch not working, no light indicator in gauges, turn signals work, horn is weak but there, brake light is fine

Have new bulbs so it's not that, i believe i'm down to just the left side switches, specifically the high/low dimmer switch

any ideas?

hmmmm

head fuse is ok huh.

sounds like a short somewhere drawing current from that part of the bike

i was right, some undone wires inside the dimmer switch, this should fix it

that would interupt power to lots of stuff up there!

yepppppppp that was it. all fixed, there's not a huge difference between the xenon and stock bulbs...it's more blue but i can't really say it's a heck of a lot brighter
