Ok so on another list a biker/tinkerer gave this stuff atry and he is well happy.

Basically it is a malable plasyic stuff (like kids play dough) that yis tuff when set anti slip. He used it to replace the rubber on his foot pegs (well degreased as per usual) even a set of custom bar-grips for his hands. The site gives loads of other uses.

My favourite of which is the handle fitted to mains plugs for easy removal & colour coding.
