Engine Cutting Out

Hey, I own a 1995 FZR 600r. There is a problem when the bike gets into about 5th or 6th gear. After a bit the rpms will slowly drop will giving the same throttle and when I downshift, the rpms shoot to 0 and the bike shuts off. The bike will not restart unless I let it sit for about an hour. It will still turn over but just doesn't seem to pop at all. I checked the temp when it dies and its doesn't seem to be a problem. I already replaced the coils and the spark plugs. I tested the stator and its resistance is all about 0.6 ohms. However the spec is supposed to be about 0.35 ohms. I'm not sure if this is part of the problem or not. Please help. I've talk to many people and no one has heard of this problem
