I'm not getting any spark. The Battery is good. I'm using a new plug. The fuse is good.
Whats next?
Thanks,

Re: No Spark
How did you test to see if you have spark?
Best thing I can think of to do is first pull the coils out. Use an multi meter and see if the resistance values are correct. I think you may not have the wires in all the way and there for not getting conductivity. If the resistance values are correct, then you need to go through the trouble shooting part of the manual to see if it is a wiring issue or if the computer is bad.

Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

Re: No Spark
Also, open up your stator cover and check to see the pickup coil (little black box above the coil cover)
On the top of my head I can't remember the ohms resistance, maybe if you did a search or the wiki something might turn up.

Re: No Spark
I found the problem the wire for one of the coils was routed under the choke arm. The connector is crack allowing the wire to ground out to the motor.

Re: No Spark
I have it running! I fixed the bad wire, drained the gas, and changed the plugs.
The front brakes need some work. The only thing that I don’t know about is the forks they are real soft.

Re: No Spark
yes FZR forks are known to be crap. If you really want, you can do a front end swap as there is a write up by 95FZR600. Otherwise pick up some progressive springs and throw in some heavier oil.Jetman wrote:The only thing that I don’t know about is the forks they are real soft.
As for the brakes, YZF600 and R6 calipers(the ones with the blue spots) are a direct bolt on. The Master cylinders are aswell (they will give you a huge improvement). You can pick up the entire brake assemblies for fairly cheap off of ebay.
