valve clearance specs on 1996 fzr
i need to know what they are and where do i buy the shims. i will be checking mine tomorrow on my kawasaki it has adjustment screws so im new to the shim thing. i read the right up on the wiki page but it was incomplete. also i assume you use metric gages. anything i should be extra careful other then loosening bridges evenly?

That's also in the factory manual link I put in the clutch diagram post. Chapter 4, part 2 is valve adj/spec/shim table
Just feeler gauge them and see where you stand after that. You may be able to trade for some shims here, or at your local yamadealer(some will trade some won't). Any good feeler gauge will work, I prefer the narrow ones. Go-NoGo gauges tend to be hard to use on buckets. The specs are:
Intake = .11-.20mm (.004-.008in)
Exhaust = .21-.30mm (.008-.012in)
