I've racked 15,000 since april. On my third rear tire, 2nd front this year. Ran from No.Mich. to Kentucky and back in late July. Pittsburgh and back a couple weeks ago. Heading out in a minute for a few more-cold front coming tonight.

4000mi. Since I bought my Honda in August. Not too many lately, I wanted to get to 4000mi. do maintenance and put it away for the winter.

It was okay. It's not the most comfy bike but it aint bad. I knocked the limiting pins that locate the clip-ons and pushed the outer ends forward a little to even out the weight in my palms. I've done a lot of long runs on bikes(cross country 6 or 7 times-once on an RZ350 the week of thanksgiving). The most important thing is to listen to your body-and have good gear. If anything even starts to bug you on a 100 mile ride, you need to deal with it before a long run. Hydrate hydrate hydrate. Rest, even if it is a 15 minute rest stop nap if you need it.

Stretching is part of my daily routine and I would higly suggest you do it for a week or so before any trip..and when you take breaks on the trip.


The way down, I left Mich @4am so I was down there midafternoon stopping just for fuel. The way back I had to leave at 8am. It was freakin HOT down there (100°s) and I had a long week so the way back I stopped every 75 miles or so and stretched my legs, then another 75 or so and fueled up....and so on. Long highway runs are the only time I will do the music thing and I keep the volume down enough to have it be background noise.

My sister sent me some bicycling skivvies right after that....they have thin gel panels on the ass. They fricken ROCK! I wore em on the Pittsburgh run and I wear them anytime I will be riding for more than an hour.

I have a Chase Harper tankbag and I bought a medium sized internal frame backpack from walmart that sat on the passenger seat nice, actually looked as if it shoulda been there...and strapped down perfectly.

here it's coming up on the rainy season..which sucks..i haven't had the time to work on my bike..i'm planning on using some off time tomorrow to finish it. but i'll only have a month of riding before it starts raining for 2 - 3 months, so no cruises for me for a while.

Okay here are some.
The bag itself: Has big main pocket, then two smaller ones. I packed a enough for a week with this and my tankbag.


Seat strapped to bag with old camera case strap.


Clips on shoulder straps to passenger footguard


It pushes back a little with light pressure. I actually raised up and sat on it to stretch my legs while underway.

hey reelrazor, you're bike looks exactly like mine did when i got it..except for the front, i have the single headlight..same pearl white paint job over a black frame.
