Im doing the tail swap r6 style....
I got 3 different years lined up, which year is the easiest swap that works the best for my 91?
It consumes me....

Whatever skills you have you make anything work. I have the 99-02 but I have seen 03-05. Its up to you. Any of them will work with modifying.

For the 03 - 05 theres a lot of welding that needs to be done.Im not sure about the 99 - 02,but I think it could be done without a welder.

The 99-02 you just need a cutting wheel to cut all the old shit off. You will need the under tray or battery tray for the easy install. Do a search on google for "heath's Fzr". his site will show you how to do it. I think most of us followed his tutorial.

Re: Im doing the tail swap r6 style....
for the 03-05 you need to cut off about six inchs and reweld it back on top laping it self so theres a spot for the rear to bolt up to.I guess ideally you would want to get some new square tube and remake the back part of the sub.i just recycled what i had cut off and finnished it up with some angle iron that I already had.maybe tomorrow I'll pull the tail apart and start a new thread with a write up of how to do the 03-05 tail swap.

Unless you are welding it, I would NEVER put a passenger in the back.
