Pods????

Post by sconr002 »

Hey this is my first post on this forum, so hello everyone

I currently have 2 dual K&N air filters that are in bad condition (The boots wont stay on the carbs)

I know the K&N pods are 50 dollar each and the K&N duals are 89 each so thats about even

But I hear some talk about the EMGO's and they are only 9.95 my2cents

Im guessing the K&N's are the best, but how close are the EMGO's?

I just want a good bang for my buck (like everyone =) ) :duh: , so which route do you guys think i should go?

And another thing i cant seem to find out how to oil the air filters, can someone please elaborate?

Thank you for checking out my post

Stuart

P.S. im doing a rebuild on my bike i already have taken a bunch of pics so im going to posting a thread about it

Another option is to get a stock airbox from one of the guys on the forum here, and get a drop-in K&N air filter for it. I think the drop-in's cost about $55 (unconfirmed) and the airboxes usually aren't that bad. There are members on the forums here that are funning full exhausts and stage 3 jet kits with the stock airbox, so stock isn't neccessarily low performance.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. my2cents
