oil filter housing

hiya all
im sure ive read some where tha you can change the old cast oil filter housing(finned) for a newer water cooled off a later model fzr1000 ru iwould take it that you just block off the oil cooler feeds off with blanking plates

I can't see how that would do a better job than the original oil cooler. Are you having over heating problems ?

no the coolings fine ive got a ru model with a worn out motor with no oil cooler and a older style engine thats sweet but that would need a oil cooler so want to swap the housings as it seams to be a way of running the oid engine in the newer bike
