Re: FZ1/R6 shock conversion question
So are you doing a FZ1 shock or a R6 shock? Im assuming since your referencing a spring compressor your doing a FZ1 shock with the FZR spring? There shouldnt be anything special once you get the spring compressed, just be careful doing it, those things still make me nervouse even though Ive used them for years.
Re: FZ1/R6 shock conversion question
This sounds intresting. What benifits does this swap have? also how about a parts list?

Re: FZ1/R6 shock conversion question
Stiffer ride. The stock FZR shock is too soft.
Plus, I do believe the FZ1 brings with it compression/dampening controls.
I have what appears to be the spring off a stock Fox TC shock. We're going to pair that up on his FZ1 shock and see how that works for him.

yup.
also, the one year of r6 shock appears to be (from the pix I've seen) to be identical to my FZ1 shock, I think its an 03, I bought it a few months ago so.....
