Tacho and temp gauge options

Building a race bike. Do i have options for these. Was going to cut the oem one up, but this isnt ideal. It my be best left alone.

Anyone tried one of these? This is the unversal model, looks like you have to tap into a radiator hose. Is the tap in piece correct diameter? Maybe tacho works off vibrations?
Are these any good? because theyre not a bad price.

I've used one on my XS11 and it works well, temp pick up can go under certain size spark plugs but I put mine under one of the head bolts, the tach pick-up can go on on of the coil outputs as the FZR's use a wasted spark firing sequence so it dials in on the vapor like a V twin. You can look on they're web site and they show install options for liquid coolant sensing. I like mine

Just looked at the site and it looks like they have sensors the you can cut into the coolant tubing and they have a 25mm option, they also have a sensor that you could screw into the temp sensor opening on the front of your radiator you just might need an assortment of threaded brass bushings to replace the yamaha sensor

Thanks Rooster. Its quite a good option. Im gonna do a retro race bike so i will probably go with dials. But the trail tech does look easy.
