Hey guys! New to the forums, just picked up a pretty sweet lookin 92 FZR Vance and Hines Special edition!!

Just snapped the throttle cable (push I believe) the other day, waiting on parts, will definitely get some good pics up when it's running again!!

the white looks good, appears you have an fzr with lower fairings from another bike. The frame, tank cover, rear fairings, and seats are fzr thought. Upper and front fender look to be fzr as well.

I'll to get the metallic flake in one of my future pics, it's white w blue metallic. Looks pretty snazzy, I think the PO said newer R6 fairings, and I'm not sure if it was rear fairing from something else or just a different taillight custom mounted. The guy I bought it from did a pretty nice job.

Looks like the airtech kit with the top half cut off.

Looks like a nice bike, but it appears to simply have a Vance and Hines SS2R slip-on and not a Vance and Hines Edition FZR.

This is a genuine Vance and Hines Edition FZR ::

Very possible. It does have a full exhaust, or at least I was told it does, and the PO said it had the yellow wheels and everything, he said he was going to put the production # on it when he painted it. He tried to contact both Yamaha and V+H, but they didn't keep a record of which VIN #s were which special edition #. I may be wrong but it's still a 92! Sounds awesome regardless!! Anyone know if there were any other modifications to the VH special edition bikes other than the wacky paint and exhaust??

they're really not that difficult to do, once you have the tank cover and airbox off you'll see how simple it is.

... and the PowerPak if memory serves...

I may have spoken too soon. Just found a brochure that shows that they only came with the full exhaust and the jet kit. Basically says the following:

Performance Package:

1 FZR600 Supersport
V & H Exhaust System 4-1
1 FZR600 Supersport Jet Kit

Suggested Retail Value $320

I remember the exhausts being about $300 in those days so I'm not sure how the jet kit was only $20....
