I'm sure there's some snarky kids on BMX bikes in your neighborhood that need a lesson or two

people see my fzr and ask if it's fast, when I say not really they get a confused look on their faces. Despite the fact that people have beat the 1/4 times of f355's with only a few mods the FZR is still around ether because it's cheap or people fell in love with them. I think a lot of us here are like me, started off the first and wound up the latter

Will I agree! I loved my FZR! It was a POS but it was a cheap outlet for me at a very difficult time. Best therapy ever! While while my mind was saying POS my heart was thinking differently every time I took the bike into a turn. :) that said I hated every time a kid with a gsxr blew my doors off but smiled everytime i saw a harley, hey it's all part of the circle of life.

As for the old triumph, I think the snarky BMX kids might even do me in. :)

We'll see, the dude still wants to much money for a box of parts and a frame.

Winter projects! what are you doing?

I rarely try and keep up with anyone, it's a good way to wind up in a ditch. Plus most of my friends I ride with are point and shoot style and I'm more pick a line and enjoy the lean keeping up corner speed. The two styles don't work well when riding in close formation.

And I will say the old girl gets more respect on the mountains than in town. Guys who know corners say if you love it than ride it. I even had one guy with a Duc 1098 get all excited because an 89 was his first bike years ago.

What plans are these? Don't see many Bauer E30's in good shape these days anyway. Going 24v on it?
No 24v so far. I have already rebuild a m20b25 with a few mods. Plan is to keep it more or les original, as you say there is not many left in good shape. Should be good fun
