pilot jet is for the choke
once you close the choke it moves to the main jet...you might also have your main and pilot switched and that could be causing the problem...mine were switched in my first carb and I had running problems then

When i open the carbs up, is there anything else you think i should look at to see if its clogged? I took the mixture screws out to about 3.5 turns. there's just a lot of inconsistency in the vacuum pressure. They are all different depending on the RPMs. No matter what i adjust, it still sounds like a V-twin
. Alright, i'm going to look into taking the carbs out.

mine sounds like a v-twin right now because my ignition coils suck
when you open the carbs, check to make sure all your floats are at the same height and that none of them are stuck.

Pilot jet is for idling, not choke.
