Hi well i got the top yoke fitted it and bought these bars Renthal Road Bike Ultra Low Handlebars 7/8" Silver but i cant turn them properly as they hit the top fairing ,or do i need different bars any help appreciated thanks Peter

will try do pictures later ,when the yoke is on the bar holder/clamps are lower than the forks do I need to drop the forks down too as when I level the new yoke so I can get the bars on there is a a big gap below ,would I need a spacer, sorry about all these questions ,now I have the bits I want to sort it out Peter

Yuk!
It looks like you'll need to drop the forks about an inch - that's a LOT! You'll need to raise the rear about the same to recover your handling, or else it'll handle like a truck. This of course will in turn cause the problem of being too tall for your sidestand, causing it to lean over quite possibly way too much.

dropped the forks to get bars on but turning circle is shit and with top fairing in place not really able to ride it properly ,would be ok if top fairing and rest was off for a special . Peter

This is not a new mod it has been done
1} either the bars are too offset from straight
2} the other guys turned the bars over
3} the top yoke was raised a bit to clear the fork caps
If you do "lift" the front you may find that she is a little heavy to steer so a set of dog bones may be required to compensate I suggets you get aset of RR's bones as they are totally adjustable so you get it where you want it if you then want fixed bones you KONW EXACTLY your hole centers that will be perfect for you !
the guys who have done this are the best ones to help as they know what bars they used !!!

I have no experience with swapping from clipons to bars but from what I have seen most guys run a dirt bike style bar with a slight rise in them instead of the flat bars you have. That seems to be the easiest way to clear the top of the forks and you won't have to worry about any of the handling or side stand issues. It might even save you a bit of cash on top of it all. Like I said it's all just a guess but something to think about anyway. Good luck!

Hi if i use higher bars brake hose and throttle cable will need to be changed,ive taken them off now as the top fairing was in the way for turning ,will try and look again later in week cheers Peter
