I may have an extra stator for my FZR400. I'll check through my boxes and post back......

This the the puller I got from Yamaha 8 years ago. You can just buy a case hardened bolt with the same metric thread and just grind the end perfectly flat.
Just make sure you use an impact wrench to drive the bolt and the stator literally should pop off.

Yup I have a FZR400 stator. If you are in So. Cal you are in luck : )
Still protective wrapped.

NO, don't use an impact driver! This can damage the internal threads, or skid the journal surfaces on un-pumped bearing shells. Tighten the bolt / puller in firmly without really torquing it, then give the end of the bolt a smack with a rubber mallet. As you say, it should just pop off. If you don't have a rubber mallet, a ball-peen hammer or other implement of destruction CAN be used, but you MUST use a wooden block between the hammer and bolt.

Damn, too bad I'm across the country. How much would you want for it? Price+shipping? I'm in Gaithersburg, MD.

Just as an aside this is the flywheel and alternator for the later 3TJ model
