I am looking for ideas on how to keep this bike cool since the fan does not fit. While running down the road it does OK, but in traffic or in town, it does not work. I tried an early GSXR radiator, and it worked great, but the lowers would not fit. I made a shroud for the stock radiator, and that helped when moving, but still not enough.
It seams like I read somewhere about using an FZ600 oil cooler helped, but wondering if there is a better option?
Sorry if this has been cover. I tried to search, but was not successful.
Thanks,
Todd

Re: 400/600 cooling challenges
Racers use a ZXR400 radiator for the 3TJ over here in the UK. It's curved so you get more area.
Maybe you could fit the fan and cut it back around the pipes, you'd probably need to do the fan blades too though. If you're in the states Muzzy make replacement alloy fans (you use the stock motor), They have more area to the blades and being alloy you can bend them a bit. I don't know if they do one to fit but I expect there's something in they're range.
I'm in the UK and caught for tax when I bought one for the Bimota, it works well though.

I mounted a YZF600 radiator with fan on my hybrid. Even fit (just barely) under the fairings.I have read repots of success with CBR600F3 radiators.
FZR400 (1WG): Purchased a perfectly good FZR400 with Yoshimura slip-on/EXUP, Yosh jet kit, Factory ignition advance, Racetech springs and emulators. It even had great bodywork. Like some diseased maniac I had to mess with everything good about that bike. Well, at least I have better brakes now.
FZR400RR (3TJ):Yeah, it's pink.
