Not another problem
Just fitted my replacement header pipes all good started her up sounds great cut the engine and noticed fuel dripping out of the carb drains help ??

Sounds like the float are stuck...

Not another problem
Float bowl drains and its been about 2 weeks since i drained the carbs last its only the third carb doing it ive tryed ti tighten the screw but it gets worse if i drain that float bowl and take the case that has makuni on it off can i get to the floats ?

Also this wernt conected to anything and it didnt do it but i conected it to the bottom of the tank and now its leaking not sure if thats the culprit

Oh and ive just noticed on the picture the little tap above my spanner is what is leaking and the case i refered to is what say makuni on in the picchris6409 wrote:![]()

Yes, you can take that cover off and get directly to the float assembly. That will also make it easier to diagnose the problem with the leak.

That in the picture is a one way valve for the fluid drain on the airbox. At the back left hand side of the airbox (as you sit on the bike) on the underside should be a drain pipe for the airbox which goes to that valve and the pipe continues down to the rear of the engine.chris6409 wrote:![]()

it is for draining oil or condensation that builds up in the airbox. When the bike is on the sidestand it drains out through the valve. inside the valve is a plastic 'pea'. When the engine is started, the vacuum in the airbox sucks the pea over the inlet hole of the valve and stops the bike running to lean. These valves are normally thrown away so you don't often see them! I know the ones for the FZR250 are no longer available from Yamaha - but they may have a newer part number.
If you don't have an airbox then it wont be connected to anything
