Re: power valve? HELP PLEASE FZR400r 3EN2
If the servo is plugged in, to check it....with the ignition OFF rotate the pulley wheel either way until it stops. Then turn on the ignition and the pulley should self centre. if it doesnt and you can hear it trying then theres a good chance that the plastic cogc inside may have been stripped. This usually happens when the valve in the exhaust seizes and the cables try to be moved by the servo...this in turn strips the gears. Its possible to get replacement gears from inside servos from other models but only certain of which ones in the case of the 1000.
On some models even if the servo isnt used due to the exhaust being swapped for a race pipe for instance, you have to leave the servo connected into the loom to stop the bike going into limp home mode. This causes the revs to be limited to around 4K
If you still have the std headers and the valve and its free to rotate, it might be just a case of replacing the cables. Thers an article over on my site to show how to make your own at a fraction of the cost of OEM

Hope this helps

if they're same as the 1000, they run down the back of the engine gearbox casting then between that and the swingarm pivot to join to the pulley on the cast mainfold
