Temperature Gauge

Post by kryzhkov »

When I go riding, the temperature gauge usually reads about half way. Once it hits half way, it rockets up to the redzone. After I turn off the bike, let the needle fall, and turn it back on, without riding, the needle sits at the middle. Is this a problem with the spring or the thermostat? Any spring kits out there?

Your thermostat may be bad, or you have air in your system. Take your thermostat out and put it in a pot of water and bring it to a boil. It should open well before the water boils.
