Custom build from the frame up FZR 1000 EXUP

Well when i first joined this forum about 18 months ago i had built this:











And i was just about to wrap the forks in camo vinyl to finish it up and get a braided rear line and it would have been done, but then split up with my misses hew left me in debt and 2 days later lost my job meaning i had to sell the bike but it owed me £800 in total and i was only getting offers of £500 - £600 so sold it for parts and made a good £3000 ish and was left with just the frame and the swingarm as i was gonna put the swingarm in my bandit project, but then the bandit project went and now im starting to sort myself out and am with a lovely young lady hew works herself i'm seeing this as the chance for a totally custom build on the frame of what used to be my pride and joy.

The plan is:

• >> Singlesided swingarm again (Needs new bearings and shock bracket
  >> USD Front End
  >> Trying to fit a Fuel Injected 1000CC Engine or bigger with big bore kit (Probably a R1 Engine as the mounts seem SIMILAR)
  >> Turbo Charging (but it will be one of the last jobs as this will be a learning curve for me as i have not done turbo before)
  >> Brembos all around
  >> Digital Speedo
  >> GSXR K6 Style tail with custom made ally subframe
  >> 2006 R1 Front and Side Fairings
  >> Custom made tank to tie it all together Properly
  << Samco Hoses
  >> Better looking rear wheel
  >> Bigger Rear Sprocket
  >> I have no idea about exhaust yet
  >> I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT PAINT YET but that's probably a year away yet

I know alot of people will say whats the point putting so much money and effort into a old bike but hey, its what i enjoy doing!!!

I will be trying to write alot of guides along the way for others.

First Job was that the shock used to be mounted to the top of the swingarm and i had to make another mount on the fzr frame, wich limited what shocks i could use to only the old style shitty ones.



so i made up a temporary bracket to see what exactly i need to make from ally





Now the shock will go threw the arm and mount underneath like the original FZR shock did rather than mounting on top of the arm, i dont have a shock at the moment so a lead pipe with 2 holes in it is substituting temporarily i know i know.

I do realise the back end will need to sit higher.

Now i know were to mount the bracket and how big it needs to be i need to order a block of ally to make the bracket from.

And i need to get a front end to stop it falling over

Is that a tail from a cbr cause I'm tryin to change my tail I have a 92 fzr 1000

Yup it was from a CBR 1000 RR with a bit of sheet metal for the undertray and custom made subframe.
The saddle was made from the front of a FZR saddle and the Rear of a CBR saddle then recovered with a old camo motorcycle jacket.
