Highway one

Post by nickadam »

Hello
Being from England we have some pretty rubbish weather and roads.
I've been to America quite alot and find driving so much better and a lot easier.
But I've only driven cars over there.
What's it like on a bike?
I've driven highway one and that was absolutely mint, on a bike it must be ace.
Today I went over the Cat and Fiddle road near where I live in the UK, an ace road, but only about 7 miles long.
What are the best roads where you are?

The guys from the East Coast can tell you about the Dragon. In the country, we have sections like below (I sped it up 3x, so you didn't fall asleep)::

However, I much prefer Putnam Park in Indiana ::

nice!
I was at the Moto GP at indianapolis this year and drove over to Chicago, again in a car though.
There were loads of R1's, GSXR's and the like but with rediculous long swing arms and lowered.
No helmet law though?

This is a quick vid of the Cat and Fiddle road near me.
Probably the road I ride the most.
The video is not me by the way, just some guy on youtube.
