Its been a while since Ive been on here and its because I was avoiding my utter failure on my poor bike. I HAD a 1990 fzr 600 and she looked really rough. I tore her to pieces and repainted the frame and swingarm and wheels. But now Im quickly realizing I dont know how to put it back together and my husband is entirely too busy to help! I have parts everywhere, covering my garage and I am very lost . Anyone out there willing to throw me a bone, I will buy you beer or whatever. I will lend my hands as help but I just dont know what to do and am so OVERWHELMED.
Any good samaritan fizzers out there, help a girl out! Im in DFW, TX. Ive never even been on it without half the bike broken. This is sad.
I just dont want to haul 4 bins of parts and misc stuff to some shop and hope that its done right...
Lets talk money or whatever, its my birthday in a week and would love to at least think something is going to happen on my baby!

Re: HELP! in DFW
Hi, Jennifer.
Yeah, the "some assembly required" toys are always annoying ...
Have you downloaded the manual? You'll need it for the torques of various bits and pieces.
The other thing that might help is the Yamaha parts site - http://www.yamaha-motor.com/partviewer/ ... x?ls=sport. This will give you a bit of a "what goes where" with the exploded views. Some things aren't perfect, but it's better than sitting there with a basket of parts scratching your head!
Good luck!

So you are looking for hands on in the Dallas area to come over and get you started on your path. Why don't you throw up some pictures of bike before and now. So we know what we are looking at. Hopefully there are some members in the area that would be willing to help.

HAHA! just kidding! those of us who are not close, can likely help with pictures. it is fairly straight forward once you get into it. a pic of where you are currently with it will help. we'll get you going again!

I did that.
