I bought this bike with a tuned stage 7 kit. I dont need a race bike, as this will be my daily as soon as I get it running. I'm over budget, not skilled in carb work and frustrated. Is there a cheap way to re-jet my bike to take it down a few "stages"?
Last night I started having problems getting the bike running. It was running fine 24 hours before. It would not idle and would shut off when not given some gas. This started after I pulled the tach, signal, and gauge backlight wires off the main harness to wire in Vapor gauges. I'm guessing it's a carb problem, but expecting the worse as always, I hope I didnt burn up my CDI somehow. If the CDI was KO'd, the bike wouldn't even fire, correct?

Re: Stage 7 Jet kit.......woes
Most likely it's just upsized main and pilot jets with an adjustable needle. The cheap way would be to just buy a handful of Mikuni jets from just about any dealer and get it much closer to stock size. Let us know what sizes you're working with once you get the carbs opened up.
