the brake hoses were upgraded to braided ones roughly 1.5 years ago, ill get some DOT3 and replace the fluid just to be safe, least then i can feel that bit safer i guess :D

R,
taking aquick peek at the pictures you look to have stainless steel lines NOT rubber. If that is the case Don is spot on & I did say all Fluids for your own peace of mind.
If not that rubber hose set is well past its sell by date so go stainless steel lines.

do the fuel pumps on fzrs have a sensor to cut out when petrol is well low? just tried starting my bike then and the fuel pump wasnt doing its usual clicking :-/

Is this a 1000? If so, then yes - there is a sensor in the tank that will chop the fuel pump at some 'low' level. Once you flip the 'Reserve' switch in the left fairing, the pump comes back on.

nope its a 600, i turn key and theres no clicking at all on reserve or not :(
having nothing but issues with this bike atm

*wince* Check your Ignition fuse, check the wires and connectors at the pump, TCI, and main relay assembly (left side rear, behind the seat fairing).

Does the bike start?

found the problem! the earth wire on the fuel pump has frade, think ill buy a new pump

If it's just a bad wire, can you not simply patch it?

the beast from the english north east is alive and screaming once again... and no i dont mean my partner >.< lol
