electrical issue

I have a 90 EXUP 1000 and there is a fuse that keeps blowin that powers the turn signals, neutral light, rpm display, and horn but after blowin the bike will soon die, im not sure if it powers the fuel pump also or sumthing. But today I went through all the electrical and cheecked for exposesed wire, wear and tear, ect. And found no issues so I cant figure out why it is shorting out! HEEEEEEEEEEELP!

The 'Signal' power wire feeds the bias resistor that conditions the signal from the fuel level sensor. When it goes dead, the TCI thinks you are low on fuel and chops the fuel pump to signal you to flip the 'Reserve' switch, turning the pump back on. "It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

Tracking electrical shorts is time consuming and maddening. It's in there; you just have to find it...

you need to determine which component blows the fuse, is it indicators?, the horn? etc. Those are the most likely culprits. Once you have found that out, then your job is so much simpler HAH!

IQ is right. With a fresh fuse in the holder, sit there with the bike idling and all the various 'Signal' components off, then turn on one system at a time - parking lamps, headlights, left signals, right signals, horn, front brake switch, rear brake switch. If nothing in particular blows the fuse, go back and do it again while working the forks side to side - see if moving the wires knocks something about.
