thanks guys. i got that speedo mounted last night, it has to be 2mm away from the sensors so thats the best wasy i could mount it with ty-wraps. its a quick fix for speed and distance for these front end swaps if your running low on cash.

more to come.

i loved it to...until i didnt work. i only work until 3mph. i guess the wheel spins to fast but it says it will work up to 99mph...all in all it was a waist of $20 and 1 hour of mounting it all up.

i will be going so speedo and no odometer either for now. i just base my speed off cars around me and figure out how far i am going before i go so i dont run outta gas.

just picked up a yzf600r hugger...pics later.

ABS,
Is that a bicycle speedo if yes then the sensor is not setting to the correct ratio for the speed.

OK simpler put the distace from axle center to the pick up point must be the correct to give the correct circle circumferance to measure the miles per hour.

the calculator works out that 1 turn of the wheel carries you the wheel circumference forward. that distance divided into 1Mile gives the rpm that make up of the wheel to go one mile PLUS it must do that in a certain time to give you miles per hour.

If your sensor is way out on the wheel rim it is figuring you are going real slow , try putting the sensor closer to the axle.

HTH not confused you Nerd

ABS,
Silly question for you, since you bought these Porche <?> Bi-Xenon lamps what ballast did you use or are they inbuilt as part of the lens unit

I found a BMW 5 series that look identical at a reasonable price IF I do not have to give blood for a BMW ballast unit
Thanks

it will work i had one hooked up to mine for the longest .. i zipp tied as close to my rotor as possible without hitting , then krazy glued the little magnet to my rotor bolt . thing never fell off till i had to change out wheels and rotors which i took off my self .. then you can program it i think to the size of your rim ...try it again .. you will love it given then fact u have no speedo .. and u get oem plastic hugger or aftermarket one ???

just finished my sanding my upper finaly. too about 24 hours total from start to finish. upper has no bondo at all! its all plastex...what a bitch to sand alot...someplaces its 1/2" thick. I will be spaying it with its 1st coat of automotive primer tonight and it says its wet sandable also so i prob will try that too. ive never done anything like this before so i figured i'd just take my good old time and do it right. ive learned if i hurry i f*ck somthing up. not sure if i will paint it myself due to not being able to get a color close to the 06 yzf600r black paint with blue sparkles in it. i may just have an old friend that works at an auto body shop hit it and clear coat it. i prefere to do the primer so i can make sure i got all the cracks and viods sandwed down perfectly.

try to get some pics later.

primed the upper last night. found a few places were it was not totaly sanded smooth. i will be fixing those areas giving it a light sanding. i cannot paint worth shit so i am not even bothering to waist my time and my money on somthing thats gonna turn out to look like shit.

i was not even happy with the primer job...some places it was got smooth and other places it turned out like ruff. after i fill in the turn signal holes on the 92 upper ill drop the upper and lowers off at the painter and when i get them back i get them back. i wait on the tank how ever since mounting fitment could screw up the paint when doing the subframe.
