Also, thought about putting the horn where the nose is on the mask? It would hide it, look pretty similar, and have it out in front so it would still be useful as well.

The thought did cross my mind. I'm gonna work on my bike tomorrow and let you know if it'll work or not.

The angle is good, but that can is screaming to be cut down to a shorty. Lean a bit too far in a turn and youve got a really warm enema.

Plus, its a fighter, needs a shorty

If you read in the beginning of my thread, I will be cutting it down this week. Should be about half length. Right now I can't take a passenger, IE. My wife, and it is soo loud cause it's piping stright up pretty close to my ear. Sounds badass though,

When you cut the can, lengthen the mid pipe to get the heat away from your right heal else you will be buying boots on aregular basis and you will have a serious hole in the power delivery fro shortening the tuned length of the pipe too much , extending the mid pipe will help that particular problem !

Is there an equation as to how much you cut=how much the mid pipe needs to be lengthened??? Also I'm thinking of switching to the R6 headers which looks like the mid pipe has a bit of length from the stock FZR headers. Should that be good???

I cut down my exhaust today and made a pair of dog bones to rais up the back end. Here are the pics.

The dog bones to the right are to lower it.
The dog bones to the left are to rais it.
Stock length is 6''
Lowering bones can be set at 4'' or 5''
The raising bones, , can be set at 6.5'' or 7.5''

I have about half of it done. I just need to tap for the oil and coolant temp sensors. And wrap a wire around the RPM wire and then mount it. I think I'll be cutting a bunch off the main harness.

Sorry guys, I haven't done much over the last few days. It's been raining like crazy here in Vancouver, BC. It's been almost a week straight and will continue to rain for the next 6 days. THIS F-IN SUCKS. So i've been slacking
Plus my wife's been away in England for 3 weeks and just got back tonight.....So I've been cleaning like crazy to make it look as if I've not made any mess at all. I don't think she bought it though,

So I've got a list here of some of the things that I need to finish by the end of the week....well I'd like to finish.

I’m going to be making a mount for my damper. It’s going on the front of the forks. It’s not long enough to mount onto the frame so it’ll have to go up front.
I have to fine tune my alarm. Get the sensitivity setting correctly.

Wire in the fan switch.

Wire in the horn from it's new location. Thanks to Mr. Freeze for the sweet location idea

I'm making something up to hold the new gauge cluster. It will clip on to my tripple tree through the ignition hole. Since I've relocated it to the hole in the front of the frame where the wire harness goes through for the gauge cluster and light.

Finish soldering up the wires for the gauge cluster, horn, and fan switch, also thinking of adding another hidden Kill Switch for my bike.

Re-fit my mask and lights

Hook up my turn signals, I blew up my last flasher box so I’ve got a new one now and I’m gonna try not to fry this one…..they aren’t cheap my friends

I’m thinking about repainting my tank and tail….still flat black but trying to hide all the scuffs and what not.

Touch up the gas cap and the rim around it. The Rim that goes around the cap has it’s powder coating chipping and pealing away so I’m gonna try to fix it up

Also I think I’m gonna make a stencil and spray either numbers or letters on my tail. Haven’t decided what to put though

I think I’m gonna stencil brass knuckles on the front hugger. The Custom Fighters Brass Knuckles to be exact

Anyways, I’ll post pics as I get off my ass and actually go do some work.

Huge improvements

I like the idea for the key mount, much harder for a bike thief to smash out the ignition and hot wire in that location - just be sure to heat shield it so the wires don't melt those FZR frames get pretty hot
