need help.

my taillight are working, they stay on but for some reason when i hit the brakes it doesnt blink like it should. any suggestions?

There are two filaments in the tail bulbs. If only the tail light (low beam) is working, the brake won't come on probably because the high filaments are burned out. If the brake light (high beam) is on all the time, the most likely culprit is your rear brake switch on the pedal. They are infamous for either sticking or being out of adjustment. Clean it and set it.
