1998 yzf 600 Need some help and advice !

In the states, this was the upgrade to the FZR600. In other places, this is called an FZR. Either way, many of the components of the US YZF600r fit onto the US FZR600.

1998 yzf 600 Need some help and advice !

Post by rdb700 »

Hi I am a newb to bikes. I've always had quads and haven't been on a bike in 15+ yrs. So anyway I got a 1998 yzf 600 from a guy and it needs pretty much all the plastic and seem to find all different kits, pieces etc. Can someone help me out and tell me what yrs and models will work on this bike. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

Use the search to learn about the model you have. There is a decent amount of info in this forum to help you decifer what works. Also, you may want to look at the other thread you posted that I already responded to. But here you go anyway. Anything from a 97+ will work on your 98.
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

you could always fab up some plastic from a R6 or R1 and give it an updated more or less unqiue look to it since you allready have a project on your hands . Or look on a online Micro fiche for the year and model bike you have and go from there that should break down pretty much what you need to complete the bike .. Also there is a yzf600r forum if that is the true model of your bike im sure you could find a better selection of what your looking for
