Eddie James - RIP

Post by WSM »

Eddie James died in an accident this past Sunday night.
He was an Iron Butt master, riding in at least 6 rallies. Probably near a million miles on two wheels. And you'd never forget that custom reserve tank bolted to the back of his BMW.
I hung out with him at Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid Ohio a few summers in a row, and he was always full of stories to tell. And that grin.
A friend of the family.
My condolences to his family.

There are some really great stories about his larger than life effects on the motorcycling world told on the Team Strange Forum:

1998 FZR600
All Original, except for a custom saddlebag set up. A machine shop buddy of mine seamlessly fitted two GS bags on the rear end for last summers ride.
