Nice looking bike you have there. I never would have thought about putting those fairings on. Well done.

Those fairings look REAL good. How much alteration did you have to do to the sub frame?

Did'nt have alter anything, i used the existing bracket mounts for the fairing but trimmed the lower section to allow for the side casings & frame craddle the seat unit is a solid section so after trimming the inside edge that to bolted straight on to the top of the subframe. It was all very easy. I believe that is a YZF750 in the pic. Glad you all like the way it looks, still need to make more changes, any sudgestions what front brakes would bolt straight on or even forks as i found the front end lacking under high speed braking.

the blue or gold dot yzf brakes bolt up to the 600 i dont know if they do to the 400 i would assume so and the yzf600r front end bolts to the 600 also might work on the 400 if the 600 and 400 tripples are interchangable which i think most if not all are
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.

Nope, no brakes will bolt on to those forks. A different brake master cylinder will help a little, but you want to be careful because they are only 2 piston calipers. If you want really better brakes, you may want to to a fork swap. The FZR600 forks will bolt directly on (even use the same front wheel) and will allow you to use R6 (blue puck) brakes for a good brake improvement. Are you racing in a controlled bracket? Fork upgrades may not be allowed, but the FZR600 forks might be as all componates are the same as the 400 forks with the minor change to the brake caliper bolt pattern. If you can do any fork swaps, go with a R6 fork upgrade. Fully adjustable makes things go quicker for track adjustments.

I would do an inverted fork swap.

One problem your gonna see with swapping to newer forks is that your upper is going to be closer to the wheel because newer forks are shorter...

inverted USD gold forks are my fav..
