Gladly i was just having casual speed and easily managed to stop the bike with rear brake. Tried to find the lever from the bushes, but no success... Be there, you
lever !! Hope that rust (i know, doesn't bite to that... ) will eat you alive 
Figuring from what was left in the bike, the bolt that holds the "distance adjustment" part, has gotten loose, and there for the lever part fell off. And as the lever bushing is quite worn, extra play didn't warn "my hand" that the bolt had gone...
But the actual question, does the early model 1K (89-90) levers without the distance adjustment fit to the 1k (91-95) with distance adjustment ? I would rather have a lever with parts few as possible. (one
) small filing is no problem...
