I'm gonna say Sum of all Parts will be getting an order for a new chain/sprocket set shortly...

It's got the USD forks - nice!

Agreed

thats what I was thinking because they use the same rims and forks on the 04-06 r1...

But they didn't really change the frame any to accommodate the different forks. They did make some minor changes but not a lot. I've heard of a lot of people swapping to the inverted forks on the 03 and 04 models.

Looks good Mark. I'm still not a fan of high mount pipes, but if you like it then that is all that matters. But now you have to paint. Are you sticking with the black or something else?
Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

This was one of the difficulties I encountered while shopping for a newer bike after selling my FZR. You can go with the 03/04 R6, but they don't have the USD forks which I really wanted. The 05 was a blend of the 03/04 rear shock but with the USD forks. It was really hard finding an 05 - not sure why, but adding the USD forks apparently didn't help the sales. Yamaha knew the 04/05 GSXRs had the USD forks, so they modified the old 04 frame and added USD forks onto it.

The 06+ R6 bikes were simply too expensive, so I went with the 05 GSXR which had more bang for the buck and a thing called 'midrange'.
