All there is inside is diodes......Its not a "voltage regulator" its a 3 phase rectifier.....Old HD's had vr's....Diodes are super easy to test, all you need is an ohm meter. High resistance one way +, and low to almost no resistance the other way -...

Us old-school guys prefer to stab ourselves in the hand with screwdrivers, at least once a year, keeps the body and brain alert, builds character.

Another thing that can be disappointing (not as fun as you think it should be) is a cellular phone, a hammer, and a concrete floor.
Not very interesting. :headscratch:

Trying to tune in an AM station in Chicago using a hot Russian woman's nipples is not as disappointing, however. ...even though it is impossible to ever get that station, you usually get some kind of noise.
