I've finally taken stock of my basket case Fizzer 6 and decided on a plan of action. It's all there, all complete, but everything needs painting, polishing or otherwise restoring to get it looking it's best, and the PO has thrown in some other spares. Engine will need a full rebuild, which is fine. It already has a Hayabusa shock, but that'll need a rebuild.
Having reviewed the parts present I've decided on a cafe racer build, slimmed down R6 seat, 7" single lamp, finished in either Martini Racing or Gulf Racing colours. It'll be a slow burner, a part at a time, a day at a time. Doesn't matter if it takes a year or 18 months, I got a car and another bike (as well as 7 bicycles) to keep me mobile. I want a high quality finish, and that takes time.
So tonight I plucked the first part off the pile and started work. The unknown brand stainless oval silencer has been polished and now gleams like chrome. Tomorrow I'll finish stripping the frame and the photos will begin.

Some slight changes afoot. Airblade Uni flyscreen is going on, and a more upmarket headlamp has been ordered.
Re: Cafe Racer
I dont know if cafe racer look fits the old fzr
Re: Cafe Racer
Sure it does. Its 100% better looking than the cardboard boxes full of junk it was 18 months ago.
