Re: Stator Replacement
Is the stator cover the one on the left side of the engine when the rider is sitting on the bike?

Re: Stator Replacement
This is all from memory, so I may miss something.
Tools Required:
5mm Allen Wrench
#2 Phillips Screwdriver
1 Drill Driver with #2 Phillips bit
Optional:
1lb Can of Elbow Grease
2lbs of Luck
1 Hammer
Assorted Vise Grips
Steps:
1. Disconnect the 2 pig tails from the wire harness
2. Remove the screw holding down the stator harness (8mm socket?)
3. Remove the outside stator cover screws (5mm Allen Wrench)
4. Remove stator cover evenly away from bike.
5. Remove the Phillips screws. I highly suggest using a good size drill with a hammer drill type function or clutch. Set mid range and keep moving higher until screws are removed. Replace all phillips headed screws with allen (socket) headed screws. Trust me!
5a. After you've stripped out all of the phillips headed screws, take a whack or 2 at the nearest wall with the hammer. Use any and all vise grips to remove the screws.
6. Apply generous amount of elbow grease and remove the 3 socket headed screws that hold the magneto in place.
Reverse for installation.

I don't think so. It might be tied up with wire ties or something.B.Shady wrote:Do i need to remove anything to get to the harness?
