Choke assembly

Post by Br1zzy »

Hello all, having a bit of trouble trying to find a replacement for my '88. Anyone have any idea what the part number is for this? I really only need the cable, but if I can get the cable/lever together I'd rather go that route. Also, would either be compatible with the 1000? I've searched eBay and have had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you are in the U.S. :
http://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-m ... &year=1988

It should be ;
http://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-m ... e-14439770

Thus;
Cable, Starter 1
2GH-26331-00-00
1
not for sale NLA.

This also fits;

Can you not get an inner cable made up at a bicycle shop....most of the nipples ( oooh eeeer missus) are a standard size.

An old post on the same cable ;

Perhaps this is suitable;

Here is an actual pic. of the item I think...

Anyhow by the looks of it ; making up an inner cable will not be difficult.

Here is the DEFINITIVE online parts catalogue for any YAMAHA motorcycle sold in the USA for future reference.
It shows an actual part no. for NLA items where other fiches simply state NLA.
Ignore the OFF ROAD MOTORCYCLES tick box description when initiating searches...all model types are on that page.
It is regularly updated by YAMAHA U.S.A.
