i have a 1989 fzr 600 i bought as a basket case. the guy i got it from said that it was crashed and the motor was blown up, but he got another one had some shop work on it, they put a dynojet jet kit stage 1/3 and indiviual air filters i reconnected all the wires and it rarely starts normaly but when it does start it sounds real good but some times it starts and just boggs out i have taken out the carbs 7 or 8 times this week. i have no idea what could be wrong on the electrical side olny cuz i have never encountered a problem as dumb as this and really need help!!!!!

Wow man, it could be so many things. Did it run good at all, like when you bought it? Do you have individual pod filters? I think you're saying you do. I would go get a stock air box of eBay. I always say get it running smooth before you start changing things. What is a dynojet stage 1/3 I do not understand what you are trying to say? Stage 1? Stage2? Stage3? A combination? I am not trying to be smart I just need to understand so we can help. Have you tested the electrical system? What does the battery test out like? Did anyone check the valves in the new motor? What do the plugs look like? When you get it running are all pistons firing? All exhaust tubes equall tempature? Offhand sounds like its running rich.

Well, that was a nice run on.
What type of air filter(s) and airbox setup do you have?

it has pod filters because i could not fugure out how the stock one goes on it will run good for about five minets but then shuts off and when it starts it is bogging and only 2 cylnders are firing, the 2 on the right

That is going to be at least part of your problem most likely. The stock airbox goes on with the round edge facing the front of the bike, flat edge towards the gas tank. The "intake scoop" on the top faces rearward, towards the gas tank, and those 4 holes on the bottom of the air box should have rubber boots on them which slide over the carbs and get securely tightened.
