1989 Rear Tyre

Hello all, just another quick question. The rear wheel on my bike is an 18'' alloy with 120/80-18 tyre on it. But it is in need of being replaced. Just wondering if this is the correct tyre for the bike as it looks a little small and the FZR 600R that my friend has, has a wider tyre running on a 17'' alloy. Im what other people have on theirs and what benefits there are for thinner tyres vs's wider.

Many Thanks

Rob

I think it should be a 140/60 VR18. Sounds like someone stuck a front tyre on the rear........ lol

Try

or

or

not the right speed rating but an awesome tyre upto 130mph lol

Just get the right speed rated tyre and you can't go wrong :headbang:

The 89 models came with a 130 rear, but you should be able to get a 140 on there.

I hope so. as soon as I put the engine back in I'll get some new rubber. out of curiosity, since the rear type was wrong, may I ask what size the front is meant to be? Rob
