FZR got a shock (literally)

So heres the whole story with every detail i can muster.. The battery was dead on my FZR and my tender was MIA so i decided to play Macgyver and went online looking for a way to make a home made tender (see where this is going?) So long story short tripped the house breakers and blew the headlights on my bike. Now she wont start ive been working on her for a few days now, opened the CDI and found a burned up resistor and replaced it. I also opened the main relay it smelled like it was burned but all the resistors were fine, and i opened the black box thing (next to main relay ) but it has a thick coating of rubber on it an impossible to access. I have not replaced the headlights yet (fear of blowing them again) maybe the headlights are vital to the engine sparking but i doubt it? I have tried to fire up the bike with the kick stand up an clutch pulled in and yes it is in neutral. All fuzes that i can find are fine haven't found a blow one yet. Noting i try seems to be working so Please Help before my pride and joy becomes a habitat for the fishes. Ive always been generally mechanically inclined (even tho im rater young) and i catch on quick so if you have any ideas don't be afraid to toss them out i would appreciate it.
