Pulled this off of a R1 to find out it is a direct fit. Its alot more solid and not as spongy as the Fzr MC.

It's all in your head. The only difference is really the Brembo stamped on the side. The piston is slightly larger but not significantly enough.

Actually, it's entirely reasonable to expect a better feel. 15-20 year newer seals, fresh fluid and a recent system bleed? You should HOPE a nearly-identical component would work better!
