I think I'm far enough along to start one of these now. After one season riding my fzr looking like this
Image
and causing me tons of headaches with everything from a blown motor to some nasty electrical problems, I decided to tear it down and put it back together exactly how i wanted it. This means lots of powder and and a few things to make it a little different. Took a day back in november to do my tear down.

and just about done there. Frame sat like that until i got a socket big enough to take the swinger off. then sat for months until i was motivated enough by beautiful weather to finish what i started.

Color scheme is going to be pearl white on the fairings, and black with red accents on the metal. Was bored at work one evening and did this...roughly what it will look like.

Anyway, Heres the pics I have now...
First the wheels because they were hideous when i got the bike.

then added a little red..

Still need to buy tires. Old ones had tread but must have been 15 years old. the bike hasnt been inspected since 96.
the frame

something i started a while ago and will incorporate into the build.

Will post up pics of some other powdered odds and ends when i get them.

Im almost ready to start reassembly. When funds are available ill be getting new tires and fresh bearings for the wheels and swing arm. oh and also dealing with this mess..

sandblasted brake caliper pistons...yuck

Will post more pics of progress. Can't wait to get her together and lookin sexy on the road this season!

So now I need a new needle jet, any suggestions where to get one ASAP?
I dont have the cash to shell out for a factory pro set, id rather replace the broken one now and put in the factory pro ones when i can afford them (I suspect they are worn)

That's not your needle jet; from your comment in your other thread I think you're right that that is item #14, "Screw", 1AE-14565-00-00. Looking at it I'd say it's an extension - a funky brass straw - to draw fuel up in to the jets.

MSRP is $12; you probably won't save enough going to an on-line vendor to cover the cost of shipping vs just going to a dealer.

Damn. I thought thats what it was since the needle sits in it. I ordered the wrong part from the dealer. Guess im going back tommorow.

Bueno, le está quedando muy bien. Me ha dado alguna idea para mi Yam. Por cierto. ¿De qué grado térmico es esa bujía que asoma entre sus pantalones?.
