Will the tester fail the rear tyre if it is squared off? tread depth is ok
new rear tyres are exspensive and budget is running dry!

i recon it will but will probably get an advisory for it. so long as the rubber isnt cracked and it has enough depth it should be ok. but im not a tester so i could be wrong!

No,so long as there is 1mm all way across the tread,your fine.

Depending on where you go, if its your regular mot guy then he may not say anything on the test he may just point it out to you unofficially. As long as there is the 1mm of tread and the rest of the tyre is fine you should be okay mate.
