I see where people are talking about using the r-6 stuff. Can some one give me exact parts that work and what are bolt on? I want master, calipers and rotors for sure and maybe do a fork swap at the same time. Does the front wheel have to be changed if I only do brakes?? Rotors and calipers??

Still for sale.
Aftermarket rotors are available for the FZR but they are pricey..as with any rotors really. They run about 300+ per rotor.

Never got the private message. I can get you aftermarket rotors but like I said they are about 300 a piece.

It depends on what parts you want to replace which would determine the year of the bike. But as there is only a limited number of parts that actually are direct bolt on it would help us if you gave us an idea of what your trying to replace or maybe an idea of what your trying to do.

As for the breaks...... check the wiki and I know that there's already several topics that cover this already. But just a hint. Blue dot calipers are about the only direct bolt on's there are. And blue dots go from 90's to almost present.

You'll want to do a search for more info. I, among others, have answered this several times over. With that said, blue dot, gold dot, and silver dot non radial Sumitomo calipers are the only yamaha oem spec'd parts that are considered "bolt on". These can be found on the yzf600, fz1, fz6,r1, and r6. There are some Nissan calipers that will bolt on but I don't know off hand. The only ones of the them that have any real performance gains are the gold spots due to the pistons being lighter and Teflon coated. The others really have nothing more than cosmetic value. The "upgrade", if you will, is in the master cylinder. You can get the same effect with, for example, an r6 radial master and the stock calipers. Now, the masters are not bolt on due to the fzr not having a mount for the reservoir but the can be overcome easily. Hope that helps. For rotors click here:

Thanks sweekster, I have a guy in town that parts out bikes. I also have been reading about the rear swap. I think this guy may have all the parts I need now that I know which bike to look for.
