Fzr 600 frame and 97 motor

Will a 97 6oo motor fit into a 88 fzr600 frame?
IIRC, the '88 was the FZ600, not FZR600 - skinny frame rails and air-cooled, vs wide frame rails and liquid-cooled. With enough time and effort and bracketry, any motor can fit in any bike - a fellow on the Archives installed a CBR900 lump into a FZR400 chassis.
Will the FZR plant bolt in quickly and easily to the FZ chassis? Probably not.
