1998 - 2002 R6 Rear end?

Post by Gizzard1533 »

Will the plastic panels fit onto the standard subframe of my 92 3he fzr 600, or will i have to modify tje subframe in anyway? The one i've been offered comes with the subframe so could justfit that but would like to keep things as standard as possible incase i have to restore it to original plus that i dont have any access to any decent welding equipment.

Yes.

Whatever you do you're going to have to modify things to fit. To put it another way, if you make the r6 plastics fit, you won't ever be able to go back to original unless you buy and weld on a new original subframe.

Edited because typos and grammar were seriously bugging me.

Gizzard look in the "Hybrid Sportbike" forum or check this page out http://heath.agdog.com/fzr/workbench/r6_tail_yzf_tank/ lots of work and then some my friend,

Just to Add R6 subfames are aluminium, so ya cant weld that to the FZR's steel frame
Most things can be fixed "stupid" is unfortunately beyond repair
